*Float positions include a $5.00/hr float differential Geisinger Community Medicine consists of 43 community practice sites throughout central, south-central and northeast Pennsylvania. These multispecialty locations provide primary and specialty care. Geisinger Careworks consists of 18 clinic sites throughout central, south-western and northeast Pennsylvania. Careworks clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. We are seeking an experienced or new graduate nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our growing team to work collaboratively with community medicine and Careworks as an acute care provider. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: For new graduates: Will float for the first 6 months in Family Practice sites only. After successful completion of the six-month period, will be eligible to float to Careworks sites. The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure. The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
