Job Summary: Accountable for facilitating and coordinating the acquisition of knowledge needed by the patient care staff to meet the needs of their patients. Serves as a role model, a consultant and resource person to supervisors and patient care staff in the areas of staff development, nursing practice and patient-focused care. The CNE seeks to define and meet patient and family education needs and responsible for administration of ongoing health programs for employees, volunteers, and patients in Home Health, In-Home Mental Health and Hospice.
Provides orientation to new clinical employees. Works closely with supervisors and clinical manager to develop educational plan for employees. Facilitates department compliance with all Employee Health and Infection Control programs. Facilitates Oasis education for clinical staff to assure that clinicians have adequate Oasis Training to optimally manage outcomes for their patients and to be financially responsible. Facilitates educational requirements for Home Health Aides. Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
DESIRED for the position: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
