As a member of the admissions team for Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers, the Nurse Liaison/Admissions Manager is responsible for referral development, pre-admission assessments and the development of proposed treatment plans for eligible candidates. This work involves building business development relationships, review of medical record information, patient & family interviews, and collaboration with the consulting rehab physician & hospital staff to ensure timely and appropriate care planning.
The Nurse Liaison/Admissions Manager provides services in inpatient, outpatient, community and residential settings. These settings include, but are not limited to, acute care facilities, long term acute care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, residential or day care facilities, outpatient clinics and private residences.
Successful candidates must demonstrate competency related to rehab-specific criteria, advanced critical thinking skills, communication skills, documentation practices, ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and a highly tuned ability to provide exceptional service to both internal & external customers.
Must have a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Michigan
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a licensed nurse
Willingness to travel for marketing opportunities as well as client evaluation and intake which includes out of state travel
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability and willingness to learn new skills
Ability and willingness to set priorities and to understand a sense of urgency
Ability and willingness to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
Ability and willingness to accept responsibilities
Ability to lift, maneuver and carry up to 30 lbs.
Acceptable under the State of Michigan Good Moral Character Statute
Knowledgeable of HIPAA Privacy Rules
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Willingness to be on-call
Previous sales/marketing/business development experience
Previous experience with brain injury clients
Previous admissions experience with client evaluations and client intake
Experience and knowledge in rehabilitation services for special needs population
Experience and knowledge in insurance rehabilitation activities
