This opening is for a full time occupational therapist in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. The need is for inpatient adult and long term care settings with occasional outpatient coverage. Patient populations include but are not limited to: orthopedic, neurological, medical/surgical, ICU, and rehabilitation.
In this position you will:
Plan and conduct medically prescribed occupational therapy programs to improve an individual's functional independence in life skills.
Evalutate and treat individuals in the areas of activities of daily living, functional cognition and perception, neuromuscular treatment and return to work.
Evaluate, record and report patient progress.
Impliment care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues or the customers served.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Alaska
Current Alaska driver's license with a clean driving record and proof of vehicle insurance.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's or Doctorate.
BLS certification is preferred at the time of hire.
One year of Occupational Therapy experience.
