Hospice Agency Director
In this role, you will serve as the Director of Patient Care Services in a hospice agency setting. You will manage daily operations of the 24-hour home health/hospice agencies providing patient care services and will ensure that the staff provides high quality, accessible, cost effective, and patient focused services to members across the continuum as well as ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will also develop and maintain clinical standards of care and practice and be responsible for all resource budgeting, selection, and development. In addition, you will monitor quality of services/care and utilization standards as well as outside contracts.
At least five years of nursing experience
At least three years of home health/hospice experience in the last ten years as a Registered Nurse
At least three years of nursing supervisory/management experience
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
A bachelor’s degree in nursing or a health care related field
A current RN license in California
Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations
Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation standards applicable to home health/hospice
Knowledge of governmental and other regulatory standards, requirements, and guidelines related to quality improvement
Strong working knowledge of ongoing monitoring techniques (including criteria development and statistical analysis); care delivery in home care; total quality management principles, tools and techniques
Effective communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
