Responsible for providing extensive direct care to palliative care patients through the consult service, in collaboration with and under the auspices of the Palliative Care Medical Director. Also responsible for training and program development (as prioritized by manager) for all CHRISTUS SETX associates. Will perform all duties/tasks considered "core education work" as defined by the manager. A significant part of the role relates to palling and implementing continuing education programs and organizational development across the hospital. Also will further contributes to all units/departments through support of the philosophy, objectives and educational effort initiated by CHRISTUS Hospital.
Graduate of state board school of nursing or equivalent.
BSN required or currently enrolled in BSN program,
Five years' experience in Palliative Care/Hospice educator experience preferred.
Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
