Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
At Cottage Health in Santa Barbara, California, our facilities are state of the art and our physicians, nurses, technicians and staff are extraordinary. The Palliative CareNurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering comprehensive care to Palliative Care patients. The NP practice incorporates both independent decision-making and collaboration with Board-certified/eligible physicians to provide expert care. This position reports to the medical director and the Palliative Care program manager and functions as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team.
Current California RN and NP licensure
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Valid Drug Enforcement Agency registration
3 years of acute care nursing experience; advanced certified hospice and palliative care nursing preferred
About Palliative Care Consultation Service (PCCS) The Palliative Care Consultation Service (PCCS) is an interdisciplinary team of professionals with advanced training and skills in palliative care. PCCS had over 1,100 consults in 2018 and continues to grow year over year. PCCS is a collaboration supported and funded by Cottage Health System, Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care of Santa Barbara and the St. Francis Foundation.
