Shift for this position is - (Every Friday,Saturday, and Sunday 8pm to 8 am).
Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides direct supervision of employees working during off shifts and weekends to ensure patients and families receive high-quality care during off hours and weekends.Job Summary: The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all Hospice Operations campus wide for a shift in the absence of other leaders including Admissions, Care24, Continuous Home Care and Inpatient unit. Triages emergency situations and contacts the Administrator on Call (AOC) as needed. Job Duties include the following. ï‚· Rounds to all operating areas. ï‚· Staffing: o Aware of staffing levels and availabilities of staff during shift. o Receives calls from ill staff for areas which must maintain safe staffing levels. o Calls in staff as needed for increased census, cover sick call, start of crisis care case. o Assists with flow of patients during shift: ï‚§ Placement and timing of new arrivals ï‚§ Movement of staff or patients in IPU ï‚· Incoming phone coverage in the event all field nurses are out in field responding to calls. ï‚· Makes off site visits when needed. ï‚· Problem solving for issues or conflict which arise ï‚· Provides report to on-coming campus supervisor or appropriate Director/Manager/ Team Administrator. ï‚· Resource for all staff for policy/procedural questions. ï‚· Completes chart audits as requested 3 ï‚· Assists Manager/Directors of 24 hour departments with off shift staff meetings and education. ï‚· Assists staff with technological issues. ï‚· Provides coverage on holidays as needed. ï‚· Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements:A Bachelor’s in nursing degree preferred with a current RN Florida license; Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) preferred. Required to obtain CHPN within 2 years of employment
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current RN License to practice in the state of Florida. Valid Florida Driver's License Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
