Hospice of the Piedmont is currently seeking a Director of Bereavement and Supportive Care Services to provide strategic direction and oversight for the Center for Grief and Healing, Center for Children, and Volunteer Services. The position provides leadership in the coordination of services provided to Hospice of the Piedmont families and bereaved community members within our service area, and for all programs. Provides case consultation to chaplains and social workers and maintains up-to-date information of community resources and programs. Identifies, develops and networks with other programs in a collaborative way to improve outcomes, including community bereavement, faith-based, veteran and other programs.

The Director of Bereavement and Supportive Care Services position requires a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field, prior experience in a clinical leadership capacity, and knowledge of the principles and practices of bereavement counseling. Must have a minimum of four years of administrative/management/leadership, experience with an emphasis on program design and management, compliance, policy and procedure development, staff supervision and coordination of services. Knowledge of hospice, chaplain and social work services, and hospice volunteering would be an advantage. Ability to motivate others, run efficient and effective programs and a strong sense of commitment to excellence.
