Community Behavioral Nursing Services (CBNS) is a home health agency that serves the developmentally disabled population. CBNS is in search of a Director of Nursing Administration. Candidate must have prior experience running a home health agency.
The Director of Nursing Administration is responsible for the operational and business management of Community Behavioral Nursing Services (CBNS) clinical operations business unit. This individual will work closely with clinical and administrative staff, as well as senior leadership, to ensure a high level of patient care is met, and ensure the Agency is compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulatory agencies. The Director of Nursing Administration's role is critical in supporting the financial, operational, and business goals of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Enhance professional growth and development to remain current in the changing home care and home healthcare trends as related to management, clinical and operations.
Functions as the company’s most senior clinical executive. Responsible and held accountable for all clinical functions and activities at CBNS; provides leadership and direction in developing new programs and establishing organizational policies, priorities and objectives; directs and coordinates the implementation of program changes; serves as a technical adviser
Considerable knowledge of healthcare functions, including clinical and medical billing and coding procedures, reimbursement practices, and quality improvement initiatives
The Director will identify the resources needed to implement his/her responsibilities and will notify the Governing Body of these needs
Researching and implementing operational efficiencies for increased productivity and creating their associated benchmarks to track performance
Creating and conducting regular internal audits on clinical documentation and compliance with contracts, agencies, and billing practices
Provides and facilitates patient centered care and patient flow and serves as a resource to employees for clinical and managerial support. Promotes and participates in interdisciplinary patient care planning and education
Developing retention strategies and growth opportunities for applicable services
Ensure completion, maintenance and submission of required reports
Adept at analyzing complex problems and leveraging a variety of resources to make sound and timely decisions
Manages team of Clinical Managers, possessing diverse skills. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of CBNS’ Clinical team. Holds them accountable to the achievement of company goals and compliance regulations.
Supervisory responsibilities include ensuring performance objectives are communicated and met, providing written and oral feedback, and supporting the development of staff in alignment with CBNS’ mission, vision and values.

Excellent organization, time management, prioritization skills and be able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
Able to maintain a strict level of confidentiality, demonstrate outstanding judgement, and be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Supports change and participates in the development, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of process improvement and quality management activities. Works with staff to make necessary changes
Education and Experience
Must be in possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, Master’s degree preferred; AND
Five (5) years of experience with proven ability to organize, manage, market and grow a home health care agency, Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice with 3-5 years of experience in the Home Health setting
Proficient in operating computer systems, including but not limited to, EMR software, Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Demonstrated record of goal achievement and of successfully taking on increased responsibility with positive results
Experienced as a hands-on leader, guiding a team within the healthcare field
Knowledge of Home Health services, practices, and regulations
Knowledge of Federal and State policies and regulations for home health care
Capacity to organize, problem solve, resolve conflict, and work independently
Must be knowledgeable with Federal and State Regulations that govern home health care
Familiar with Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice (OCHCH)
Prior experience with accreditation, CMS, and ODH surveys, preferred
