CLC1 is a 24-bed unit that specializes in treatment of resident Veterans who suffer from dementia. These Veterans generally have behaviors that make transition to a community nursing setting difficult. While on this unit, residents are stabilized and provided with consultation with a multidisciplinary team including geriatric psychology, psychiatry, social work, occupational, physical and speech therapy. The goal of care is to assist families with placement in a community long term care setting.
