Has responsibility for all clinical and non-clinical education/training/learning for AuthoraCare Collective. This position has accountability for ensuring that education provided meets the needs from a regulatory, accreditation, licensure and identified organizational goals and priorities. Community based clinical education is included in this accountability, in conjunction with the VP of Development and Innovation. This role works closely with other leaders to ensure desired outcomes. Included areas of accountability/responsibility would include and not be limited to: NEO, Leadership Training, Clinical Leadership Training, Oversite of orientation and ongoing staff and volunteer learning and training, Unit Providers status and a Preceptor Program. The Director of Education will oversee the Annual Learning program for staff and volunteers, Continuing Education requests and on-site students and interns across AuthuraCare in conjunction with department/program leaders.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree with experience in education, public health or other related health profession. Master’s degree preferred. RN licensure preferred.
Training and Experience: Three years of organizational development or adult education is required. Hospice and/or healthcare experience is strongly preferred. Expertise in design and development of computer-based learning is helpful. Experience in staff supervision and leadership.
