Part time, 32 hours per week
You Will Be Responsible For:
Â·Administer treatments, physical agents and physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff Physical Therapist, while adhering to standards of physical medicine practice.
Â·Assist with the restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability, with collaborative goal of reaching level of maximum performance and functioning.
Â·Observe and evaluate treatment effect, discuss observations with staff Physical Therapist.
Â·Perform components of an appropriate assessment on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provide reassessments as per policy and age of patient.
Â·Assist with the formulation of a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs; assess effectiveness of patient/family learning.
Â·Discuss observations and treatment plans with Physical Therapist, and modify patient care as directed.
Â·Collaborate with other team members as indicated for timely case conferencing about patient need and/or status.
Â·Participate in educational staff performance improvement in-services. Assist with orientation and in-service training for certified department staff members; participate in guidance and educational programs.
Â·Comply with HH policies, procedures, practices and care standards as witnessed by leadership and staff.
Â·Demonstrate knowledge and skills to perform duties, methods and procedures required by job. (See current PTA core competencies)
What You Will Need:
Current certificate as a Physical Therapy Assistant required.
Current BCLS certification required.
Valid drivers' license and current automobile insurance required.
AA degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association required.
