The Float Outpatient Specialty Nurse Coordinator will be assigned to cover any of the medical or surgical specialties and to be the liaison between Ambulatory Care Practitioners and disciplines at VA Puget Sound. Duties: coordinate and manage the consult process in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team provide tracking and reintegration of patients referred for outside care via Veterans Choice Program and Non-VA care service assist in organizing, scheduling and supporting clinics work collaboratively with patients, their families and health care providers to ensure optimal care for patients throughout the continuum of care. provide multidisciplinary approach to patients needs, working closely with clinicians, the OR, Anesthesia and OEC telephone triage for patients including outside consultations develop and coordinate seamless transitioning of patients through the inpatient and outpatient care processes The RN will cross-train and cover other subspecialties as needed. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: Annual leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per biweekly pay period; Sick leave at the rate of four (4) hours per biweekly pay period; 10 paid Federal holidays per year. Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years' vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement).Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
