Nurse (Bone Marrow Transplant Unit)
The Marrow Transplant Unit (MTU) is an 8 bed inpatient and 4 chair outpatient clinic specializing in transplanting patients with hematologic malignancies (Aplastic Anemia, Multiple Myeloma, lymphoma, leukemias as well as some solid tumors). Patients are followed on the unit both as inpatients and outpatients. The average length of stay is 15-20 inpatient days. Most patients are required to stay in Seattle for 100 days. Duties include but are not limited to: responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal care (ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses). delivers safe care to assigned patients, while developing technical competencies. safely and effectively uses patient care equipme
