The incumbent will be and is responsible for providing initial evaluation and follow-up visits to a panel of assigned patients. Incumbent uses physician order entry for all prescriptions, laboratory and radiology orders, consult requests and notes in the CPRS program. Review of laboratory, radiology, procedure and consultation reports and communication of abnormal results to patients and ensure appropriate coding of all outpatient encounters. Work in a team atmosphere delivering primary care to patients. The candidate must be qualified to provide Women's Health services in addition to comprehensive care to a panel of adult patients, from young adult to elderly. The physician will provide care to optimize patient health, work seamlessly with other health care team members and support VA patient satisfaction initiatives. The physician will be expected to provide medical care services and evaluation of Veterans with compassion and will provide education and counseling of Veterans and families regarding preventative care, medical conditions, treatment, and drugs. Work Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Mon - Fri. Scheduled to be back up for the on-call Medical Officer of the Day (MOD). On call only required if MOD is not available.
