The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is recruiting an experienced Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to lead the Anesthesiology Department as Chief and supervise a multi-disciplinary team of clinical providers. The Anesthesia Department includes Chronic Pain Management Clinic and provides anesthesia-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, PACU, Specialty Procedure Clinics, and Outpatient Clinic setting. The Chief of Anesthesiology will report directly to the Director of Surgical and Perioperative Care and is accountable to provide the most effective delivery of anesthetic care throughout the medical center in compliance with VA and VHA Directives and The Joint Commission accreditation standards. The incumbent serves as an Anesthesiologist within the Anesthesia Department. The incumbent is responsible for providing anesthesia service in and out of the operating room suite. Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for all assigned clinical, educational, and administrative duties and requirements. The incumbent is encouraged to develop research opportunities and is expected to promote and provide educational endeavors for residents and staff as well as participate in a variety of meetings.
