The position involves inpatient and outpatient Infectious Disease Medicine. The candidate will have educational responsibilities for Infectious Disease fellows, Internal Medicine residents and medical students. Candidate must possess a full and unrestricted license in any state and must qualify for an academic appointment at our affiliate, The University of Louisville. Candidate must be board certified in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty certification in Infectious Disease Medicine. Duties include but are not limited to: ???? 1. The candidate will participate in inpatient and outpatient Infectious Disease consultative services, on-call services, and in teaching of medical students, residents and fellows rotating through the VA. ??????????????2. Assist in education for Infectious Disease fellows, Internal Medicine residents and medical students. 3. Attending responsibilities for the Infectious Disease Fellows 4. Workups on inpatients, diagnosis, interpretation of tests of critically ill patients and recommendation of treatment. 5. Consultation services to patients and families.
