The Chief of Medicine provides administrative and programmatic leadership for the Medicine Service. Responsibilities include overall administrative oversight including quality assurance for the Medicine service. The Chief of Medicine reports Directly to the Chief of Staff. The Chief of Medicine maintains a limited clinical practice in her/his own sub-specialty. Service areas include inpatient and outpatient care in General Internal Medicine, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Hospitalist Medicine, Rheumatology, Hematology-Oncology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Allergy/Immunology, Neurology, and undergraduate/graduate medical education.
