SUMMARY: This role is accountable for independently managing the respiratory needs and care of complex medical patients in their home setting. Using the knowledge of pathophysiology, in collaboration with other disciplines, the incumbent will develop, implement, and revise an appropriate interdisciplinary family-centered plan of care, including the use of medical instrumentation. Using clinical judgment the individual will implement the plan of care and asses and manage the need for appropriate education related to at-home respiratory care that best meets learning needs of the patient and family. Will takes part in the On Call schedule and coordinate after hours care.
REQUIREMENTS: Position requires Associate's Degree with completion of an AMA approved respiratory care program. Must have valid BLS certification and have an active California Registered Respiratory license (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP). Must have an active CA driver's license and car insurance coverage with the minimum limits as required by state law. Bilingual skills are preferred and the candidate must demonstrate basic mathematical calculation skills and understanding of age/cultural principles.
POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, 40 hours per pay period. Hours typically during Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with on call, weekends and holiday rotational.
