The Social Worker independently provides clinical psychosocial and case management services at an advanced practice level to eligible Veterans and their families. The Palliative Social Worker is assigned to the Geriatrics & Extended Care (GEC) Service Line. The advanced practice Social Worker practices in the Palliative Care Consult Team and serves a patient population with highly complex health problems. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
