The function of the Nurse Practitioner (NP), is to provide nurse practitioner services to both outpatient and inpatient Veterans within the Northport VA Healthcare System. The APN's practice is based on skill, experience, and education and has a direct impact on patient outcomes for the assigned area and the facility as a whole. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
