This multi-site supervisor position is located in Tucson, Arizona and will require travel throughout the Tucson area. Responsibilities:
In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by: - Supervise the daily activities of drug mixing while ensuring sites are safely and adequately staffed, trained, and operating within regulatory guidelines.
- Responsible for the delivery, ordering, and shipment of drugs.
- Review inventory levels ensuring drugs inventory on hand are in line with practice goals.
- Assist patients with prior authorizations, financial assistance, and grants.
- Act as a resource resolving issues that pertain to the handling and shipment of drugs.
- Respond to and resolve billing code issues; researching errors or incorrect codes and making adjustments to charge entries as needed.
- Maintain compliance for all sites in the areas of accreditation, quality assurance, legal and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and communicate changes in drug regulations to pharmacy staff in a timely manner.
- Lead meetings and facilitate groups to achieve desired results using tools that ensure participation, innovation, and effective decision making while using group process techniques.
- Implement short term goals that align with the company vision and business goals.
- Cascade and effectively communicate goals and annual objectives to the team.
- Provide and develop ongoing job-related education, tools, and training to staff.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) with focus on continuous process improvement.
- Coach and lead staff demonstrating positive leadership behaviors.
- Responsible for interviewing, recommending hires, assessing performance, recommending salary changes, and progressive discipline procedures maintaining company policy.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
What you bring to the team: - Associate degree in Business, Health Care, Public Administration, or closely related field preferred.
- Experience in an oncology setting preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience with inventory management.
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding.
- Member of NCODDA or other professional associations.
