MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine physician on behalf of Franklin General Hospital to join an outpatient practice located in Hampton, Iowa.
This is an excellent opportunity to join two physicians and four APPs in a busy practice that provides care for the 11,000 residents of Franklin County. Franklin General Hospital is a financially sound 25-bed critical access hospital and primary care clinic and has been providing high-quality care to our communities for over 100 years. We were the first rural health system to implement a fully integrated electronic medical record; telemedicine and teleradiology available.
As part of MercyOne Health Network-North Iowa, patients have the benefit of quick access to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City when needed. A variety of specialty services are provided by outreach clinics in Hampton, including Cardiology, ENT, General Surgery, Neurology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Palliative Care, Pulmonology, Urology, Audiology and Podiatry. Franklin General Hospital is affiliated with MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a Level III trauma center and regional referral teaching center with Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residency programs and a Cardiology fellowship program.
Requirements for this opportunity include:
Graduate of an Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School
Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate Family Medicine Residency program
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Must be able to obtain MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center medical staff privileges
Above average communication skills
Ability to work with a team
Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license
Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate
