The Patient Safety Specialist is a registered professional nurse, qualified by education and experience to monitor and evaluate clinical and administrative processes for the safe delivery of patient care throughout all applicable departments of the Medical Center through an integrated Quality Management Program that includes Risk Management, Peer Review, and Patient Safety Programs. This position is key to help build and implement patient safety systems and promote the culture of safety. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
