8:00AM-4:30PM

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level:

• Performing basic rooming duties with accurate vital signs, weight, height, and Epic rooming activities such as informing the provider and RN of information that was collected
• Set up and assist in clinical procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Maintain inventory of supplies and reorder as required
• Perform finger sticks for blood glucose, with appropriate training and as directed by RN
• Collect, deliver, and conduct routine tests on patient specimens, Clean assigned area, stock and replenish equipment as required

Minimum Education/Training Requirements:

• Completion of Level 1-Nurse Aid education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or successful completion of the NC approved Nurse Aide I competency test
• Working knowledge of sterile techniques and special procedures and safety precautions
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to document and communicate pertinent information using computer
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family, and hospital staff

Experience:

• Experienced preferred but will train the right candidate

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

• BLS Certification
• Currently listed as a Nursing Assistant (NA1) with the division of Facility Services with no substantial findings of abuse, fraud, neglect, or misappropriation of property.
