Job Summary:
The Division of Geriatric Medicine at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider to join the team in Hershey, PA. Majority of the time will be spent treating elderly patients with chronic diseases at Penn State Health Cocoa Outpatient Center. The APP will also work one half-day session per week seeing patients at Harmony at Hershey retirement home. The schedule for this position will include standard clinic hours, with set time dedicated to e-messages and phone call follow-ups. No weekends are required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have prior geriatric medicine experience, preferably in the outpatient setting. A new grad with previous experience caring for geriatric patients will be considered.
