Tanana Valley Clinic (TVC) has provided state-of-the-art medical services to the Fairbanks Community and Interior Alaska for over 50 years. TVC is a 73-provider multi-specialty group. We have an excellent group of physicians and clinical staff, many of whom have been at TVC for 20+ years, as a testament to our friendly work environment. Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is a member of a care team that provides and coordinates medical, surgical and other specialty care to patients under the auspices of a supervising physician or the supervising physician's agent in various settings. This position will provide patient assessments through patient exams, patient medical history, interpretation of required diagnostic procedures, and developing/implementing treatment and management plans, and provide teaching activities to residents all under the supervising physician or supervising physician's agent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess knowledge of clinical care and patient treatment as normally obtained through the completion of master's degree in nursing.

Must be approved to practice as an Adult NP (ANP), Family NP (FNP), Geriatric NP (GNP), Women's Health NP(WHNP), Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health NP (APMHNP), Family Psychiatric & Mental Health NP (FPMHNP),Pediatric NP (PNP), or School NP (SNP) by the State Board of Nursing by proof of license/certification.

Requires current RN license in state of practice. Must be certified to practice by the State Board of Nursing within a particular population as a nurse practitioner. Requires personal DEA license or must have prescribing and dispensing authority granted by the state board of nursing. Depending on business need/area of focus, this position may require graduation from an ACNM accredited nurse-midwifery education program, as well as a current NRP certification. Additional technical and professional certifications may be required based on type of nurse practitioner and scope of delineation document under medical staff services for an individual facility.

Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

DNP or PhD preferred. Current BLS certification preferred. Previous relevant experience preferred.
