Our patients consist of a mix of neuro surgical, DBS, traumas, strokes, general surgical, general medicine, IABP, CRRT, Impella, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, surgical phase II invasive EEG monitoring and more. The department's mission is to provide care to our critically ill patients and support one another in a caring and nurturing environment. Our team is a small community, with a positive and caring culture of teamwork. There are opportunities to obtain certifications for Impella, CRRT and IABP and continuing education through Centura or seminars offered in the area. We look for candidates that are positive team players, are eager to learn, and are passionate about critical care nursing. Job Summary: Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
