Perform CT and MRI procedures including but not limited to the administration of IV or oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and filming of images, network image transfers, and archiving image data as indicated while concurrently achieving a high level of quality.
Escort patient to treatment room, assisting with dressings as necessary. Complete all required paperwork to ensure timely delivery of CT/MRI services.
Develop and process radiologic films. Log radiologic procedures and process routine paperwork.
Partner with physicians assessing the need for additional or modified studies.
Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
Ensure and prioritize the safety and physical comfort of the patient while in the care of the technologist.
Arrange for the release of films to patients and/or outside agencies.
Maintain paperwork for tracking loaned films.
Application and understanding of the contraindications associated with the administration of IV contrast and recognizing adverse reactions and proper protocols to follow in the event of an adverse reaction.
Provide protection for patients and staff in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
Conduct daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance and take appropriate action if indicated.
Maintain confidentiality of all protected health information for patients and staff.
Will be working in two different locations.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
Three (3) years of experience as a CT MRI Technologist.
Certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain certification within three (3) months of hire.
