FT Night Shift (Hours: 7p - 7a) Weekends & Holidays per department guidelines

Christiana Care Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our 5B Medical Unit at Christiana Hospital in Newark.

Unit

5B is a 40-bed Medical Unit with Telemetry, which provides scheduled and emergent care/procedures on a 24-hour basis. The area is designed to accommodate patients who need inpatient care for a variety of treatment, diagnosis/testing including but not limited to COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, opioid withdrawal, nausea/vomiting/abdominal pain, altered mental status, osteomyelitis, back pain, diabetes management, and cellulitis.

The patient population cared for includes adult and geriatric patients. The conditions of patients cared for in this area can be described as fair and serious. The patients are received/transferred/admitted from home, the emergency department, and physician's offices as well as from other units within the hospital setting.

• 40 bed unit with semi-private rooms & private rooms

Education & Requirements

• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware
• BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of the date of hire.
• At least one year of experience as an RN.
• BLS required.
