The Nurse Manager is the designated first-line supervisory authority, responsibility, and accountability for the 24/7 operations of their units/areas, ensuring that subordinate personnel provide timely nursing care which complies with generally accepted standards of clinical practice. This position requires schedule flexibility, as this is a 24/7 hospital. The incumbent must be poised and articulate in communicating with people of varied educational levels and varied ethnic backgrounds. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
