Equipoise Healthcare is seeking a pediatric hematology and oncology nurse practitioner to care for patients with cancer and blood disorders in the inpatient and outpatient setting. You will aid in managing a broad array of hematologic and oncologic disorders, including sickle cell disease, iron deficiency, bleeding and clotting disorders, ITP, histiocytoses, solid tumors, CNS tumors, leukemia, and more. The role of Team Leader will help provide coverage in all areas of our practice, as well as serve as the clinical and administrative leader for our mid—level provider team and nursing team. Requirements:
Master of Science in Nursing, required
Doctor of Nursing Practice, preferred
Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
Must have experience with pediatrics and chemotherapy.
May also have previous clinical experience in hematology, oncology, critical care, emergency care, palliative care, or related area.
Must have at least 6 years experience in related field(s). Experience obtained as an RN will be considered.
The ideal candidate will also be kind, integrous, smart, a strong advocate for patients, and a good clinician with a sharp ability to assess the medical literature. Speaking Spanish or Vietnamese is also helpful.
Equipoise Healthcare is a new multi—specialty pediatric practice, based in Wichita, Kansas that opened in the autumn of 2022 with pediatric hematology/oncology and palliative care services. We are currently making plans for other pediatric specialties as well. This is a public benefit private medical practice, founded and managed by a physician, with the goal of delivering high quality pediatric specialty care to the Midwest in a format that keeps kids as close to home as possible and reduces the burden on families.
