Description
The PMHNP residency program is designed to provide new NP graduates with a unique opportunity to apply their education and strengthen their clinical skills as they transition to professional practice. We are now recruiting for the program's third class of residents. This is a 12 month program that will run from November 1, 2022-October 31, 2023. This program includes a six-month rotation in the hospital on various inpatient units including CPEP, Adult Inpatient Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry, and Consultation and Liaison Services and a six-month rotation in the Outpatient Clinic working with Children, Adolescents and adults. In addition to these rotations, the resident will attend weekly Grand Rounds, weekly didactic classes and have opportunities to participate in leadership, quality improvement activities and case discussion (outpatient rotations).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited NP program, New York State licensed and ANCC board certified as a PMHNP by August 15, 2022. Prior work experience in Psychiatry.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMHNP not dual certification. Previous experience with technology systems. Previous experience working with teams. Previous experience with Microsoft Word.
